Valentine's Day, or weekend, or week :)

Since Valentine's Day was on Sunday this year, Mark and I thought about what we would like to do either Friday or Saturday for Valentine's. I told Mark that I wanted to go to the museum because they are currently displaying "From Wolf to Woof," a display of how dogs came to be. But with the hours the museum is open, and the hours we're both working, it didn't look like we were going to be able to make it until next week. So we needed to think of something else to do.
I drove by the cheap theater and saw that they were now playing "Alvin and the Chipmunks; the Squeakuel," which Mark and I agreed that we'd wait til it came to the cheap theaters to see. So we decided to go see it Saturday after work. So for Friday night, we offered to babysit for our friends, Ben and Lindsey Eliason, while they go on their date. And we just watched a movie we rented while we watch him (Andrew).

On Friday, I went with my friend Sandra Taylor into town earlier in the day and when I got home, there was a box of flowers waiting at my door. I told Mark that I don't really like the idea of flowers because they only last a few weeks and I feel like they're a waste of money. But Mark said it doesn't matter what I say, he's gonna get me flowers :)

I went to WalMart looking for the movie "The Sound of Music" but couldn't find it, but I did find the soundtrack to Alvin and the Chipmunks, which I've had my eyes on for a while now and so I got it for him! And since we were going to go see the second one, I felt it was appropriate.
He's also holding the penguin card I gave him.

We ended up exchanging our gifts Friday night after the movie. Mark got me a pink stuffed bear that has a heart-shaped nose and he also got me some chocolates (always a good idea!)

We both worked on Saturday; Mark from 8-5 and me from 12-5, but we got out early. It was a good thing too because we got home and checked to see what time the Squeakuel was playing at it started at 4pm. So we hurried on over and probably missed the first ten minutes or so, but still enjoyed the movie. Later that night we went and played games with our friends the Eliason's until we were too tired to play anymore.

Flowers are so funny.
Everytime a holiday comes up and flowers are mentioned, Brad always says something like "Yeah, you don't like flowers anyway." To which I always respond "When have I ever said that?"
Anyway, I love getting flowers and Brad always seems to forget that I like them!
This year though, I pretty much straight up told him to get me flowers. Lol.
Glad you guys are having a good weekend too!

Glad to see the lil bro can still step it up when it really counts. We spent most of the evening gorging on my mom's spinach lasagna and playing March Madness on Bill's vintage XBox! :)
